Ruth's practice focuses on estate planning, probate, trust administration, financial elder abuse, and estate litigation. She has been involved with the preparation and trial of hundreds of cases, representing Fortune 500 companies, individuals, and fiduciaries. Ruth has extensive experience advising clients in creating estate planning documents to achieve their goals concerning their children, grandchildren, and philanthropy. This unique blend of experience as a litigator and estate planning attorney, provides Ruth with the ability to effectively manage all aspects of family wealth planning.
Ruth received a degree in Public Service and Political Science from the University of California, Riverside and received a Juris Doctor in Law from Santa Clara University School of Law.
Prior to starting her own law firm, Ruth worked as tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and practiced law at Barr & Barr Attorneys and Jackson & Wallace. She is a member of the California State Bar Association, Contra Costa County Bar Association, and Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley.
Outside of work, Ruth stays busy with her young family. She is an active member of the community and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Charity League, Moraga Country Club, Moraga Junior Women's Club, Los Perales Elementary PTA, and is a member of Boys' Team Charity.
